Dr. Abdullah Al Mamun Azhari

Dr. Abdullah al Mamun al Azhari is currently holding position of Assistant Professor & Coordinator in the Department of Islamic Studies at Shanto-Mariam University of Creative technology. He received his B.A degree in Hadith from prestigious Al-Azhar University, Egypt with distinction. His place was 3rd in the Department and 6th in the Whole faculty. Then he obtained M.A from Faculty of Darul-Uloom at Cairo University in Islamic Jurisprudence with excellent Grade where his thesis on Allama Badrudding A’ini- a famous ninth century Islamic intellectual- received international acclaim. He achieved his Ph.D. degree from Islamic University in 2022. His Ph.D thesis topic was: ইসলাম ও আন্তর্জাতিক মানবাধিকার সনদসমূহে নাগরিক অধিকার (Civil Rights in Islam and International Human Rights Instruments). Being a prolific writer, so far, Dr. Abdullah al Mamun al Azhari published Five books and penned numerous articles in the national and international arena. He is also a prominent translator in Bangladesh. He translated more than 70 books and articles. His research mostly focuses on Hadith Studies, Islamic jurisprudence and Islam in the Modern world.
As a social worker, he served various voluntary positions both in Egypt and Bangladesh. Now, He is a regular contributor of the Islamhouse.com run under Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance, Saudi Arabia. He is also a member of Institutional quality assurance cell (IQAC), of Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology.
